Project Overview:
“Local Revenue Insights” is a volunteer-based research initiative supported by OTR Company for Training and Consultancy, aimed at empowering postgraduate students to actively participate in analyzing local financial challenges and proposing strategic recommendations to enhance municipal revenue performance. This project reflects the company’s commitment to its corporate social responsibility by supporting academic research, developing youth capacities, and contributing to the improvement of financial and administrative practices within the public sector.
Objectives:
- To analyze the structural and procedural gaps affecting local revenue collection.
- To provide evidence-based and actionable recommendations for improving the financial performance of municipalities.
- To strengthen academic–professional collaboration between universities and the private sector.
- To empower master’s students to apply their research skills to real-world development challenges.
Project Components:
- Field Research and Data Collection: Conducted by postgraduate students in collaboration with local municipalities to identify key revenue challenges.
- Research and Training Workshops: Supervised by academic and financial experts to enhance students’ analytical and reporting skills.
- Final Report: A comprehensive document presenting findings and strategic recommendations to decision-makers in local government.
- Closing Seminar: A public presentation of results attended by representatives from OTR Company, the university, and the Association of Accountants.
